Hello kittens! This post is going to be very short because, oh well, it really is a very simple trick.🎉 But since people are usually disregarding the easiest, at hand solutions, I decided it might be helpful to share.
You see, for almost two years, I`ve been struggling so much with composing my blog posts and having them sound 100% like me. Yes, it is pretty normal when you`re a beginner, but I knew I wanted to change that as soon as possible. I got a pretty strong personality in my `real life` so why not have that reflected in my blog posts? I knew there must be a solution for this issue, I just needed to figure it out. And luckily I did. Since I started to use this method, putting together the text for a blog post seems at least 50% easier than before and most importantly, my posts sound authentic.
I can`t even count how many times did I heard bloggers complain about forgetting their ideas, or writing a title down just so they couldn`t remember anymore what exactly was the course of the conversation. And the worst part about it is that having to reflect multiple times on the same subject, will most probably disrupt your writing voice.
So stop writing down your ideas guys! Here`s what you should do instead.
Most chances you are going to have your phone around much more often than you`re going to have a piece of paper and a pen. Right? I know I do! So write the idea in your Notes app. No! I`m just kidding, forget it. 😅
You need to record yourself talking about the subject just as you would record a very casual vlog. Believe or not, talking comes much easier than writing. So talk very openly and relaxed and if needed, take short breaks to put your thoughts together. It doesn`t matter how many times you stumble (you`re the only one that`s going to hear it anyway), the most important thing is to do it right when the ideas are gathering up.
By using this method of composing blog posts, you will not only save all your thoughts on the chosen subject, but you will also conserve your writing voice. Cause you see, hearing yourself having a very relaxed monologue right before you start writing, will ensure you actually `sound` like you. Then you just need to give a title to the record, so you know exactly what it is about when you`re scrolling through the list. And that`s it. Tadaam!
Now even if a subject awaits for an entire year before it`s being put into a blog post, you`ll know exactly what were you thinking and how you were planning to develop the discussion. And unlike writing down, which most of the time seems to take ages, you can do this while talking a walk to the grocery store. Just pretend you are talking on the phone. 😜
Hope this was helpful chicos. I`m not sure what the next post will be about, but it will be as awesome as usual. So until then let`s hang on social media. Or you can make sure you don`t miss any of my posts by following me on Bloglovin.
