Yasss! The new Gabrielle Chanel fragrance is finally here! And once with it, my post about this utterly sophisticated scent. The reason I`ve been waiting to do this post, is because I wanted it to align with the release of this new fragrance and celebrate it with you ladies. After all, this is not just a scent. It`s the first perfume the house released in 15 years, and it`s got such a strong story behind it. This is the year of Gabrielle!
But first things first ?, what do you guys think about this stunning edit I shot with Simona? Did I managed to surprise you? I know I did. It`s not much often you get to see me in such a dreamy, feminine edit. But I promise you, nothing happened by chance. I wanted this edit to reflect exactly what I envisioned the first time I smelled the Gabrielle Chanel fragrance.
Feminine and floral, yet modern and fresh, the Gabrielle Chanel perfume is all about the rebellious, passionate and free-spirited women. How else would I describe it? Well, If Coco had a millennial daughter, just as daring, confident and full of enthusiasm as her, this is what she would wear.
Cause unlike the previous Chanel fragrances, this one is young, fresh and sparkling. It`s still recognizable as a Chanel scent, of course, but it captures the spirit of `Coco` Chanel in her early years so well. Who she was at her core and her rebellious, mold-breaking spirit. Coco, Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel on her real name, was the one to rail against the confining fashion designed by man. The one to make female empowerment a reality for all women and the one to dare and bring a fashion revolution: `I decided who I wanted to be and that is who I am` she said.
And to emulate this upstanding, sparkling personality, perfumer Olivier Polge dived into the idea of using primarily white flowers, like ylang-ylang, jasmine, tuberose and orange blossom. He then masterly finished it all, with delicious touches of mandarin peel, grapefruit, sandalwood and black currant. Yummy!
That`s how the first `pillar` perfume that Chanel released since Chance, in 2002, was created. It just had to be something amazing when it speaks so much about the founder of the Chanel brand and the female empowerment. But still, I was amazed to find out how much thought and attention to details went into it. Even the bottle took 5 years of development. And it paid off, cause thanks to it`s innovative, very thin glass walls, it allows the golden amber hue of the fragrance radiate through so beautifully. It just feels like holding a beautiful piece of jewelry.
But I am not going to go any further with the description, cause you need to try it yourself. To conclude this, if you guys are looking for a sparkling, flowery scent, one that manages to touch the next level of sophistication, then the Gabrielle Chanel perfume is for you. Cheers! (Champagne cheers cause we are talking about Chanel.)? ?
P.S. Chanel is very exclusive when it comes to their perfumes, so you won`t find this scent at the usual fragrance department stores. The best bet is to go straight to a Chanel one.
That`s it! Now I am really done. ? Till next time, when I`m pretty sure I`ll be posting something just as awesome, let`s hang on social media. Or you can make sure you don`t miss any of my posts by following me on Bloglovin.

I`ll finish this post with an inspiring short video about Gabrielle Chanel. I have to admit I didn`t know that much about her either, until I checked out this video series. Yup, there`s an entire series on Chanel`s YouTube channel. For example, did you know she grew up in an orphanage? Or that she was also a cabaret singer? There are so many things to know about this fascinating lady…
