Good morning guys! I just woke up and went straight to my laptop cause I couldn`t wait to share this little editorial with you. But let me tell you a short story about Baukjen, my last photoshoot and how I ended up feeling like work is not work, but rather play.
Last week Baukjen sent me this gorgeous cable knit dress and I have to admit that even though I`m not usually into knit dresses this one blew me away. I love a good cable knit design and the ivory shade made me really excited to wear it. After I received it I couldn`t wait to style it and shoot, but I was kind of having a question mark regarding the location. I just felt that something woodsy would be more appropriate and I was sooo ready for a twist. So all said and done I figured we should shoot at the village museum here in my town. Ive never been there but I knew there is one and after a little google search I was convinced that`s our location.
We went there on a sunny day and it was just amazing. We had the gorgeous light rays reaching through the trees, the stunning little old houses and the beautiful woods. What more could we wish for? It was a fairytale setup waiting for us to discover and photograph. And let me just tell you shooting there was so relaxing and fun, I could have done it all day long. So that made me reach two conclusions….
- I`ve been living in this town for 10 years now, but there are still so many stunning places I have no idea about. Which makes me realize I really have to get out of the house more often.
- I`m one with the location. Shooting there really helped me keep cool and relaxed, comparing to the busy city scene where I`m always strained and agitated.
That’s when I decided I should work and play more often. So who knows where I`ll be shooting next time. Maybe at the Zoo? Here I come ostriches! Curl your eyelashes! ?
